Hi, I’m Carolyn

I'm, a wanderer at heart who traded the rush of London for the quiet, grounding beauty of rural Sweden in 2005. Life here taught me to slow down, to notice the small things, and to find joy in the moments that often slip by unnoticed.

Writing has always been my way of paying attention. I’m drawn to the quiet details that linger long after a moment has passed — the ones that hold memory, emotion, and meaning. In my professional world, I work in communications, shaping stories and language every day. As an accredited life coach, I’ve seen how honest words can open doors to growth, connection, and self‑understanding.

My fascination with the mind, body, and spirit has been with me since childhood. What began as a personal curiosity slowly grew into my main blog, where I explore health, happiness, and the art of living well.

This space — Five Words Deep — is an extension of that journey.
A place for stories, reflections, and the quiet discoveries that come from listening closely.

Welcome to my writing space

Why Five Words Deep

It began with five words. A small practice. A way of catching the essence of a moment before it slipped away. Five words became an anchor - a doorway, a mirror, a quiet truth. They held more than I expected: whole seasons, unspoken feelings, the shape of things I hadn't yet named.

This isn't a practice of brevity. It's a practice of depth - of finding the pulse beneath the noise.

The story beneath

Every set of five words is a beginning — a fragment that knows more than it says. Sit with them long enough and they unfold: a memory surfaces, a feeling clarifies, a story steps forward.

This is the heart of Five Words Deep - the slow reveal, the quiet unfolding, the way meaning rises when given space.

Behind the words

People often know more than they think they do. Their five words show it - the longing, the resilience, the humor, the ache, the hope.

My role is simple: to witness, to reflect, to help shape what's already there. Some stories arrive as text. Some as sound - a voice moving through a moment. Others as images, fragments, or quiet compositions.

Five Words Deep moves between forms because stories do too. Each one chooses the shape that fits its weight, its texture, its way of being told.

Where five words become whole stories

If you want to explore this practice with me — to read, to reflect, to see what five words might hold — you’re welcome to step inside.

I write regularly on Five Words Deep, sharing stories, fragments, and the quiet discoveries that come from listening closely.

You’re invited to linger- To wander. To find the words that meet you where you are.
